Microsoft Access allows you to create databases to store information and data so that it can be conveniantly retreived and analysed.
In this course you will plan and create a simple, one table database using Access 2003.
This course introduces you to:
- planning a database
- creating a database
- creating tables
- defining data types, a primary key and data entry
- entering data and forms
- retrieving data and the Report Wizard
- simple queries.
Assumes good PC skills, no previous experience using Access is required.

Access Basics 2: Queries and Relationships
This follow-up course builds on Access Basics 1 by looking at multiple-table, databases.
In this course you will learn how to integrate the database components: tables, queries, forms and reports, and develop the skills to build an efficient user interface. The result is a database which is easy for anyone to use.
Topics covered introduce you to:
- defining relationships between tables
- maintaining referential integrity between tables
- creating tables from query results
- using macros to perform multi-part operations
- using forms to activate macros
- designing queries to alter database content.
