Excursion - Māori Treasures - Is now full

Day One - June 22

Delegates will be welcomed into the private studios of a family of renowned Māori artists who will share with you treasured Māori art traditions. The excursion includes a hands-on activity, demonstrations, exhibits and video. Authentic, quality Māori art and crafts are for sale in the Gallery Gift Store. Highly recommended if you are artistically inclined or are from outside New Zealand.

Wellington City Tours

Delegates not taking part in the Māori Treasures can choose from a selection of guided walking tours in and around Wellington's CBD. Pre-conference bookings are encouraged.

 

Parliament Buildings
Visit Parliament and hear about the history of parliamentary procedure and buildings where it has been housed since 1865. The guided tour will be followed by the opportunity to see parliament in action.

Museum of New Zealand / Te Papa

Visit Aotearoa/New Zealand’s national museum and explore a wide range of exhibitions. Entry to Te Papa is free if you wish to view exhibits at your leisure, however a tour option is offered to conference delegates to offer you the opportunity to the make the most of your visit.

Duration of Tour: 1hr / or at your leisure (ensuring to be back at Rutherford House by 3pm)

Conference Cocktail Function

Sponsored by Historyworks, the conference drinks and nibbles is being held immediately after the conference's first two presentations on Wednesday June 22 (5.00pm).
