Formal Welcome

On the first day of the conference, participants will gather on Te Herenga Waka, Victoria University of Wellington's Marae, for the conference pōwhiri / official welcome. Buses will depart registrations at Rutherford House at 9.20am. Pōwhiri explanation & guide.

Location

Except for the pōwhiri, the conference is based at Victoria University of Wellington's Pipitea Campus. Rutherford House is the central venue and is located at the northern end of Lambton Quay, across the road from the Railway Station and diagonally opposite the New Zealand Parliament Buildings. more...

Entering Sessions

Conference ID is required to enter all sessions. Once the sessions have begun the doors will be closed. Please move briskly between sessions and follow room attendant instructions at all times.

Attendance is expected once a proposal has been accepted however, in cases of emergency cancellations should be forwarded to Gloria Clarke as far in advance as possible.

Courtesy

There is a 45-minute time limit allocated to presentations, this includes question time. Avoid being cut off by our timing instruments - keep to the time allocation.

Audio-Visual Equipment

VCRs and monitors (VHS format), overhead projectors and screens, data projectors, slide projectors and screens are available. If you require audio-visual equipment, notify the conference organiser no later than 27 May 2005.

Rooms & resources

Except for the keynote addresses the conference consists of concurrent presentations, which will be located across the three buildings that create Pipitea Campus. Kaitiaki/volunteers will orientate you upon arrival.
