• A crude homogenate will contain a number of cellular components, in varying states of integrity

  • Whole cells (and damaged cells)
  • Nuclei
  • Lysosomes
  • Mitochondria
  • Perosixomes
  • Microsomes (from endoplasmic reticulum)
